Offered for your consideration is one (1) NEW Elkay Industries model SEQ-1D low voltage switched AC Outlet. This is part of the Elkay Industries low voltage controlled AC switching system. It has a 12 volt DC relay installed on a three gang stainless steel electrical plate which also contains two (2) duplex AC outlets.
It is prewired from Elkay and will switch both AC outlets on or off when 12 volts DC is applied to the screw terminals on the front of the unit. Either or both of the AC outlets can be seperated from the switching relay if constant power is desired.
Unit is designed to be controlled by Elkay or other switching sequencer or controller but can be used independently. 12 volt DC is all that is required to switch the outlets on or off allowing for low voltage control of AC power.
Typical applications for this unit are to remotely turn on and off amplifiers, or any 120 volt AC equipment without the necessity of conduit and/or expensive AC wiring.
The unit is new and has never been used. The three (3) gang stainless steel plate has two (2) rectangular duplex outlets installed with the third position being blank. Behind the blank inside the electrical box when installed is the relay. Wiring instructions currently are taped onto the stainless steel plate where normally a third receptacle would reside. There is no punch or hole for installing an electrical device in the third space on the plate.
Elkay Industries is/was an American supplier of professional rack and electrical switching equipment in St. Louis, Missouri. Several other manufacturers offer low voltage controlled power and this unit can be used on any sequencer or controller which provides 12 volt DC output for switching.
