Engineering RS Logix 5000 "Controllogix PLC system" PLC Training Course #1, 2 and 3:
Allen Bradley sells a similar PLC#1,2,&3 course for $1200.00; do not waste your time; get more than AB is selling for a fraction of the price; and the best part is you can watch again when you need to review.
Gain a competive edge on your competition; knowing this material will help you get that job; keep that job; and earn top dollar......
If you have not already, you will have to deal with programming or programmers. These training DVD's will prepare you for this inevitable event.
Sit back and enjoy. Then work through the sample problems I have prepared for you. If you follow the course and do the work you will be adequately prepared.
This DVD is an excellent training tool and reference guide. I have been an engineer for the past 16 years and find these videos to be extremely useful and practical. You will find that this is without a doubt the most valuable information you have in your library. And the best part is it is very inexpensive. This is similar course material used by Allen Bradley, and they charge $1200 for the equivalent of PLC Courses #1 thru #3.
A heavier emphasis is put into the engineering aspect of programming. The information you learn from this video will be applicable to the EIT/FE engineering exam (Digital Computing Section). This course will adequately prepare you in the Numbering Systems, Logic Gates, Combinational Logic, Sequential Logic, and Operating system sections. PLC Courses #1 thu #3 will complete the EIT/FE review of the Digital Computing Section of the exam.

(1) Fully Functioning RS Logix 5000 90 day version and RS Logix 500 10 point Micrologix working copy offline version programming software.
If you are a service technician, maintenance engineer, AutoCAD draftsman, this material will help you understand PLC engineering details in an easy to follow DVD. This is a must for managers who manage technical personel.
It includes all calculations required, and excellent pictures and examples. Anyone who is an engineer, electrician, mechanical, chemical, civil, electrical, or electronic engineer will find this a valuable training tool to add to his or her library.
If you want a better understanding on PLC's this series of courses is perfect for you. Applicable to circuit breaker users, relay calibration departments, switchgear designers, MCC designers, generator manufacturers, any engineering discipline, or maintenance engineer.
Enjoy! This is some really good material.
1) Do I need to understand how a computer works? Yes, you need to be computer literate, this course is not easy and it is designed for an engineering student in their first or second year of college completed.
2) I went to a technical school, is this ok for me to take? Absolutely; the technical schools just skip the basic courses and cut to the chase and skip some of the theory and teach what is needed. If you have a technical background, or similar military experience, and or work experience you will do fine with this material.
3) What type of software is on these disks? This program focuses on PLC training, it is illegal to pass on a full blown version of RS Logix 5000 and this course does not offer that; and neither does the AB Basic RS logix 5000 PLC training course. We do offer some similation software, and a free 90 day version of AB RS Logix 5000 offline program that can be used to practice with, but not actually download a PLC, you cannot go online with it. You can download this version from the AB website.
4) What type of computer do I need? Typically Windows XP (service pack 1 installed) is all that is required. A pentium II will run the software. The DVD's run best in a regular TV DVD player. (Windows NT, 2000, work as well)
5) How long does it take to complete? Give yourself at least 20-30 days to complete the entire program, PLC Course #1, 2 and 3. Watch the PLC #1 DVD first then do all of the homework, then go to the next DVD; do not skip and do all of the homework before proceeding to the next DVD.

I have been watching this on my lap top with no problems, dude, this is good stuff. Great job! I like the way you start with the basics as if I had no knowledge of plc's. This is really a great tool. I will use it to teach my son as well. Thanks again.
