On sale is a 325 foot spool of 1/2 inch diameter heat-shrinkable tubing in red or black. (In metric scale this is 100 meters of 12mm). This black heat shrink tubing is constructed of highest quality thermally stabilized flame-retardant heat shrinkable Polyolefin. It has a shrink radio of 2 to 1, so will shrink to 1/4 inch once heated. Operating Temperature is -55C to +125C. This heat shrink tubing has excellent un-flammability, flexibility and insulation properties and is UL and CSA (USA & Canada) Safety Approved. This spool of heat shrink tubing is sturdy normal wall construction (not the more common thin wall heat shrink tubing). This spaghetti tubing is brand new and is factory sealed. It is “not†NOS (new old stock). It is made by the industry leader WOER Heat-Shrinkable Material which is ISO9001 and KEMA certified.

Heat Shrink Tubing is often referred to as Shrink Band, Shrink Tubing and Shrinkable Spaghetti Tubing. Heat shrink tubing is useful in a wide variety of applications, such as electrical insulation, color coding, splicing, termination, wire marking, mechanical protection, cable bundling, weather sealing and corrosion, moisture & abrasion protection. If you repair or restore electronics the use of heat shrink tubing is "a must". Insulating the leads of capacitors, resistors and other electronics parts and wire help reduce the chance of dangerous short circuits. Short circuits can result in (potentially fatal) electric shocks and fires. Also, if you radio, TV or other electrical appliance develops a short ... it will work poorly or not at all. For various repairs and bundling wires the 1/8", 1/4" and 1/2" diameter sizes are often needed. Make sure the tubing you use is a flame retardant type and is UL/CSA safety approved. To help ensure you are getting high quality product, use tubing that is made by an ISO certified manufacturer. Beware of older heat shrink tubing ! ... some types of heat shrink contain ingredients/chemicals and give of dangerous fumes when heated. Use a new heat shrink that is environmentally friendly.
