This Short Haul Modem features Frequency Shift-Key operation, which provides high immunity to noise and interference, and it’s transparent to data and protocol. Adjust your SHM-FSK to changing line conditions. Modulate between 100 and 156.5 KHz to send signals above harsh industrial noise.
The SHM–FSK also transmits farther than most short-haul modems—up to 3.8 miles (6.1 km) either half-or full-duplex at 9600 bps.
Optional 2-wire RS-485 and 4-wire RS-422 modules are available for RS-485.
