ALL of the following conditions must be met:
Converter must electrically see a 3-phase motor — connections through contactors are okay, but through transformers are not
Controls are okay if they all run from lines 1and 2 — Control transformers are okay if tapped from lines 1 and 2 (reverse must also use lines 1 and 2)
Typical starting times under 3 seconds
Recommended 5 minute cool down between starts
Rotary Phase Converters recommended for heavy or complex loads.
When using a 1700-1800 rpm modern T-frame motor, the horsepower of the load should fall within the horsepower rating of the phase converter.
For use with motors other than 1700-1800 T-frame motors, use the weight of the motor, and consult the chart on the right ->

Dual range selectable for starting different sized motors adds convenience and flexibility to your shop.
The internal circuit in the static phase converter allows external capacitance to be added or subtracted, which is easily done from the terminal strip in the wiring compartment. This allows the converter to be upgraded to run a larger machine, or downgraded to run a smaller machine. The variable capacitance system is so flexible, that all of the internal capacitors can even be bypassed to add in run capacitors for extremely long start cycles. No other static phase converter is this flexible.
GENTEC American Rotary's AutoLinkTM Sensor automatically determines when your machine is turned on. The static phase converter is wired in before the machine switch, so it is not necessary to tamper with the machines internal wiring. Simply install the static phase converter between the circuit breaker and the machine.

Each GENTEC static phase converter has five different mounting configurations built in so that you don’t have to compromise when mounting. Mounting hardware is included, as well as diagrams that show the different positions.
Forget the wires! We have included oversized, easy to use terminal blocks labeled for easy hook up. The terminal blocks are housed in an oversized conduit box with pre-punched knockouts for quick and easy installation.
