Color is tannish brown as best I can describe it.
Eliminates offsetting raceway when connecting to surface type panel boxes. The adjustment from surface to center of bushings is 5/8" [15.9mm] minimum to 1 3/8" [35mm] maximum. Break out crescent twistout in cover to use with 700 Series. 1/2" [12.7mm] chase nipple and locknut furnished.
