Original Fuzz Face germanium type transistors were used for the apparent soft fuzz these transistors produce - WAH and FUZZ guitar effect (fuzz-face, treble booster)
These transistors are from 1962 and have never been used.

These Transistors were acquired from an R.F. Lab and had been tested. This is new old stock, MADE IN THE U.S.A. in 1962, stored in climate-contolled environment throughout its lifetime.
