The FS276508 adapter provides ample space for a variety of medium density surface mount circuit designs. The peripheral part mounting zones and circuit foils permit the installation of devices in-line with the IC, or across adjoining circuit. Foil modification (see below) and jumpers can be used to configure board to meet 0603, 0805, Mini-Melf, A-size (3216-18 EIA) Tantalum devices and many more. Diodes, inductors, LED’s and other device within size range above can be mounted as well. This 8-pin SIP can be plugged into a sockets or solder less breadboards, or soldered onto a prototype board. A pad location for optional bypass capacitor across IC pin 4 and 8 and non-component areas are coated solder mask to aid assembly. This little board is great for a wide range of usage.
Foil Modification Instructions:
* Cut foil with a sharp razor
* New mounting zone is created
* Solder component to new mounting zone
* Board Material: High quality 0.062 in. thick FR-4, Glass Epoxy or equivalent.
* Circuit: 1 oz copper with solder coated pads both sides.
